the role




We're looking for an experienced Technology Director to lead our technology organisation, reporting directly to the COO.

In this pivotal role, you'll define and execute the strategic direction of our technology platforms. You'll lead a high-performing team of software engineers, while also overseeing multidisciplinary teams of data specialists, product managers, and product designers. Together, you'll deliver innovative, market-leading solutions that drive real business impact in a competitive fintech landscape.


You'll bring deep technical expertise, strong architectural vision, and a pragmatic approach to building scalable, customer-centric systems. Working hand in hand with senior business leaders, you'll translate strategic goals into a clear product vision and roadmap, underpinned by forward-looking technology strategies that enable both immediate growth and add long-term value.

Key responsibilities





With the support of the COO, define and drive the strategic direction of LendInvest's technology platforms to support business growth and innovation in digital property finance. Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting career development. Guide software engineers in building, integrating, and evolving our core products and systems, ensuring alignment with architectural and business goals. Accountable for the overarching Data strategy and architecture, leading the team of data specialists to deliver against business objectives. Build a culture of collaboration between product managers, designers, data specialists, and all key functional business stakeholders to shape and deliver impactful, user-focused solutions. Own and oversee technology architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that support long-term business needs. Introduce and evaluate new technologies, tools, and systems, making pragmatic decisions to improve performance, delivery speed, and technical resilience. Ensure the reliability, security, and compliance of technology platforms with relevant regulatory and industry standards. Lead from the front in driving efficient ways of working to streamline the delivery cycle time. Act as a senior technology voice in strategic planning and leadership discussions, helping align technology with broader company objectives. Continuously assess and improve engineering processes, tooling, and delivery methodologies to support high-quality, efficient development.

Ideally we are looking for:





A seasoned technology leader with 10+ years of experience in software engineering or technology roles, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership position (e.g., Head of Engineering, CTO, or equivalent). You'll bring proven success in fast-paced, product-led, or fintech environments, and a passion for driving innovation at scale. Someone who thrives on building and growing high-performing engineering teams (including remote teams) while fostering a culture of mentorship, trust, and continuous improvement. A highly collaborative partner who enjoys working cross-functionally with product, design, data, and commercial teams to deliver meaningful business outcomes and shape the future of the business.
