Founded in November 2021 by individuals with personal and professional experience in social care, we offer a variety of services including Day Provisions, Community Support, Home Support, Education, and Mentoring.

Summary

As a Disability Support Worker at C2I Chapter One CIC, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of children and young people with disabilities. Located in Gloucester, this position is essential for providing care and support that allows families to take a break while ensuring a safe and engaging environment for the children.

Hours

This is a

casual worker agreement

, meaning there are no guaranteed hours. You will have the freedom to choose shifts that fit with your personal commitments, offering a great deal of flexibility. You can select shifts across various times, including days, afternoons, and weekends, based on your availability.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs. Provide direct support to children and young people in various settings, providing 1:1 support. Engage with children through activities that promote learning and development. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care. Assist with daily living tasks as required, fostering independence where possible. Maintain accurate records of care provided and progress made. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

Requirements

Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with disabilities. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members. Ability to develop care plans based on individual assessments. A valid driving license is preferred but not essential. Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are beneficial. A background in childcare or social care is advantageous.

The Foundation!

C2I Chapter One CIC over the next month will be opening our very own building, which includes 6 classrooms, sensory room, messy play room, 2 storey soft play, sports hall and much more! This job will be based at our new building covering areas of our short breaks provision.

Pay: 11.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 35 per week
