Job Description

Chipping Norton Health Centre is a busy, friendly, and supportive GP practice with an in-house dispensary serving our local community. We are looking for a Dispensary Counter Assistant to join our dedicated team.

About the Role



We are seeking someone who is reliable, organised, and enjoys helping people. You will be the first point of contact for patients at the dispensary counter, providing excellent customer service and supporting the safe and efficient running of the dispensary.

Key Responsibilities



Greeting patients and assisting with their queries Processing prescription requests and taking payments Filing medicine bags on the shelves Ensuring dispensary shelves and stock areas are tidy and well organised Handling telephone enquiries professionally and courteously Supporting dispensary colleagues with general administrative tasks. Training will be provided on further dispensing responsibilities, depending on your interests and skills.

What We're Looking For



Friendly, patient-focused approach Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work accurately and follow procedures Team player with a positive attitude Previous experience in pharmacy/dispensary helpful but not essential -- full training provided

Working Hours & Benefits



18-24 hours per week (to be agreed) Hourly rate: Minimum Living Wage 6 weeks' annual leave (pro-rata) NHS pension scheme Supportive training environment
