We have an opportunity for a qualified Dispenser or Technician to join our team of highly skilled professionals working in our dispensary at Modbury Health Centre. Accuracy, diligence and excellent levels of care are at the core this role. We pride ourselves on going that extra mile and building relationships with our patients, so you will need to be able to communicate effectively. You will be driven, passionate and confident in engaging with patients, colleagues and other healthcare professionals. Our Dispensary is open Monday - Friday with no evening or weekend/BH working required.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications and ensure that prescriptions are filled according to established protocols. Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions. Collaborate with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and assist in inventory management. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organisational policies related to medication administration. Assist in training new staff members on dispensing procedures and best practices.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of medication administration and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare professionals effectively. A commitment to ongoing professional development within the field of dispensing practice.
