We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dispensing Optician to join our team. As Dispensing Optician, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with their eyewear needs, ensuring they receive the best possible vision care.

Duties

Interpret prescriptions to provide appropriate eyewear solutions. Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that suit their style and vision requirements. Perform fittings and adjustments on eyewear to ensure proper fit and comfort. Maintain an organised laboratory environment, including the preparation and dispensing of lenses. Provide education to patients regarding lens options, care instructions, and eyewear maintenance. Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and advancements in optical technology. Assist in purchasing specatcle frames from our suppliers to suit our patient base. Perform scans with our OCT

Experience

Previous experience as a Dispensing Optician or in a similar role is highly desirable. Laboratory experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of lens fabrication processes. Knowledge of human anatomy related to vision is essential for providing accurate advice and care. Strong communication skills are necessary for effectively interacting with patients and colleagues.
