Dispensing Technician

Job Description

This is a permanent role.

Ideally, you will be a qualified Dispensing Technician or Dispensing Assistant. You provide frontline customer service and dispensing at a busy professional community pharmacy. Your role will include dispensing duties, and advising and helping patients with OTC and prescription medications. You will have continued support from a professional team and you will be responsible for working together with your colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the dispensary and processing of prescriptions. If not already, you will be or have the opportunity to develop as an Accredited Checking Technician.

Quadrant Pharmacy has invested heavily in technology and uses a dispensing robot. Commitment to working with new technologies will be desirable.

Training can be provided and a two-year commitment is requested.

Your will work part-time or full-time hours and will have a fixed rota which will include some Saturdays.

Dispensing medications

Customer service and provision of advanced services

Medicines advice

Health Promotion

Stock management

Maintaining a hygienic dispensary

Qualifications and Skills



Excellent communication skills and a Friendly personality

Numerate, preferably maths GCSE Grade 4 or above

IT literate

Community Pharmacy experience is preferable.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.60-18.00 per hour

Experience:

Dispensing: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Driving License (preferred)
Work Location: In person
