Seeking talented, experienced sales leader to manage successful team:



You will have heard of many of our clients, as we hold publishing and advertising sales contracts with some of the biggest professional membership organisations in the UK including: the National Education Union, the British Psychological Society, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the Royal College of Midwives and British Horse Society, as well as over 40 further clients in the B2B and consumer space.




We require an experienced display / creative advertising sales manager who will lead our growing Built Environment division, motivating staff to hit targets. We need someone who enjoys generating revenues from key accounts and developing new business. The sales manager will continue to develop the commercial success across our market-leading titles, including the official magazines of many of the most prestigious built environment and engineering brands in the UK and across the world: IET, CIBSE, CABE, RTPI, IOSH, EIC, IWFM, IFSM and potentially new clients too. This portfolio covers print, digital, sponsorship and sales across our awards-winning, large-scale events.




Managing a team of 4-5, the sales manager will maximise revenues and develop the product offerings for these official publications, increasing the commercial success of associated websites, and sell sponsorship across a portfolio of in person events. A strong understanding of the publishing industry, especially the role of contract publishers, and ability to develop relationships with our publishing partners are required to succeed in this role.




You will be able to demonstrate previous success in delivering the following:Sales management experience with a proven track record in media sales, including high value and multi-platform packages Strong understanding of the publishing industry, ideally with sound knowledge of at least one of the key sectors (equestrian / countryside) outlined above Experience in and understanding of: + Recruitment and selection
+ Budgeting/targeting
+ Planning for success
+ Coaching and development
Good communication and influencing skills Solutions orientated mentality Excellent time management skills with the ability to deliver projects within deadline Ability to respond to pressurised situations Command of all basic IT skills and knowledge of digital stats, platforms etc
