The Role
We are seeking an experienced Litigation & Dispute Resolution Assistant with at least 5 years of relevant experience to support our growing practice. You will play a key role in managing complex cases, preparing legal documentation, and liaising with clients and courts. This is an opportunity to work in a hands-on role where your expertise will make a tangible impact.
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, be highly organised, and have excellent knowledge of the litigation process.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Litigation & Dispute Resolution department in a variety of cases including, but not limited to, civil claims, contentious probate, property disputes and employment matters.
Prepare legal documents such as briefs/instructions, pleadings, and discovery materials.
Conduct legal research and gather evidence to support case strategy.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court officials to ensure smooth case management.
Organise and maintain case files and ensure all case deadlines are met.
Support the Litigation & Dispute Resolution department in trial preparation, including preparing bundles and exhibits, organising documents, and managing logistics.
Keep up to date with court procedures and filing requirements.
Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Dispute Resolution & Litigation Assistant or similar role in a UK law firm.
Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court practices.
Proficiency in legal research tools and case/document management systems.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and correspondence.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
Proactive and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
