How the role will make an impact;




We are looking for a result-driven Distribution Marketing Manager to join our busy marketing team! You will work with the Marketing Team to implement the marketing strategy for what we term as our Distribution Channel. An important and rapidly growing area of our business, you will work closely with the Distribution Sales Team to develop strategies and plans for supporting our customers within store and online activity, to drive sales through their stores and web channels. This ranges from B2B/trade focussed merchants through to more consumer centric retailers for the DIY and 'Have-a-go' consumer.



Marketing is extremely important to our company's success, so working with the Head of Marketing and Ecommerce, as well as our experienced Marketers, your role will play a crucial role in achieving our business goals and objectives.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:



Develop and execute marketing plans to achieve the objectives for the Distribution Channel. POS - work with members of the sales team to continually review how we present ourselves in store, in showrooms and/or online. Learn about our customers, what their needs are, how we can help them through our point of sale and customer support marketing. Deliver marketing activity within agreed budget with an effective blend of traditional and digital marketing techniques. Analyse and report on marketing activity and effectiveness, including return on marketing investment, research results and other appropriate measures. Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products and campaigns. Analysis of customer research, current market conditions, and competitor data (including generalcompetitor activity) to help develop robust marketing plans. Lead collaborative discovery sessions with key stakeholders to collectively plan, develop and deliver product launches and promotional campaigns. New product launches, to include positioning, packaging design, point of sale, direct selling materials and campaign. Manage our presence and support at customer tradeshows, exhibitions, conferences and other events, sourcing merchandise, and liasing closely with external agencies and internal stakeholders. Work with the wider marketing team to draw on strengths and support by aligning activity in the Distribution Channel with our other activity throughout the year.

Key Skills:



Degree in Marketing or a related field is ideal but not essential. Proven experience in a Marketing role or similar position. Experienced in adapting to changing priorities, time management and multi-tasking. Adaptable and able to work cross-functionally as part of the supporting team: Marketing, Sales, Product, Technical, Warehouse, Quality. Strong communication skills - content writing and presentation skills. Strong stakeholder management skills - both internal and external. Experience and understanding of TTL marketing activity, including B2B and B2B2C. Experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing strategies. Experience of optimising POS and educating shoppers instore. Willingness and ability to travel within the UK.
