Job summary - What to expect:



As the Senior Distribution Operator of our UK Operations team, you will ensure customer requirements, production performance targets and quality standards are met (and where possible exceeded) through performing various tasks. These will include completing tasks and processes and operating machinery where requested, ensuring Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions are fulfilled. Your role will involve providing leadership, motivation and direction for Operators, deputising for Team Leaders in their absence, allocating resources to meet time and work requirements, and analysing data and running reports to be compliant with Sox and Financial controls, as well as health and safety requirements (i.e. machinery, lift truck, manual handling equipment etc) to maintain a safe working environment.

About you:



We are looking for someone with a good understanding of relevant equipment, including a working knowledge of in-house systems, and an understanding of HR procedures. You will have the ability to communicate changes or updates within the business to team members (both verbally and written), facilitate team briefs, and communicate with necessary groups including internal and external customers. Additionally, you will be willing to participate in continuous improvement initiatives and internal and external audits, as well as investigating and reporting any issues.


Due to the nature of this role, you should be comfortable working in a large open plan warehouse / factory building- with constant background noise from machinery, and seasonal temperature fluctuations- and able to lift up to 25kg and stand for prolonged periods of time.



Experience & Education:



Experience of working in an Operational environment, with operating machinery or manufacturing experience preferred. Basic computer skills (Microsoft packages) Basic understanding of equipment relevant to the specified areas, including knowledge of in-house applications (e.g. Oracle) Understanding of Lean, continuous improvements and Health and Safety preferred. Good standard of English and Maths
