Man's Best Friend Kensington and Chelsea is a well respected, independent, female owned and run dog care and dog retail provider, servicing the pup parents of Kensington and Chelsea. We are currently hiring for one of our most important roles within the company; Dog Daycare Manager, given we are very sadly losing our manager due to relocation.

We are looking for a very special person who possesses a unique set of skills, balancing experience/ability and most importantly mentality. This role sets the tone for the company as a whole through its dealings working closely with the owner, managing of the team, communication with clients, care of our beloved pack and management of our site and fleet. We are looking for an individual who is flexible and dedicated to adapting this role/others within the business if needed, taking into account the company's best interest. It is vital for us to find the right fit for this role and as such we will wait for the correct individual as opposed to hiring with haste.

The role will include

:

- Collecting and returning dogs each day as well as hands on care of our pack

- Organising and managing the logistical day to day running of our site and team

- Working closely with the owner of the company on business management and development

- End to end team management including one to ones, formal meetings, training and staff queries

- Staffing

- Taking initiative to pose and subsequently manage improvements to our site and service

- Organising and delegating site and fleet maintenance and ensuring our facility adheres to licensing standards

- Customer service and satisfaction management

- Canine and field logistics

- Ensuring the physical and emotional wellbeing of our pack

- Route planning

- Stock take and shopping

- Overseeing our social media platforms

- Admin

- Collating and communicating feedback to pass on to relevant parties internally and externally

The successful candidate will possess the following skill set and experience:

- Experience in a management role

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to respectfully command a close knit team

- Experience in the dog care industry

- Ability to read and understand dog behaviour and body language

- Strong IT/social media skills with a modern mindset and ability to drive the company forward in this respect

- Fast and physically able. This is a hands on role that may include physical labour

- Reliable with excellent attendance/time management

- Ability to adapt, problem solve and think swiftly and logistically in a fast paced environment on a day to day basis and in a crisis

- Clean driving licence

- Clean police check provided or taken out

- Live within a reasonable distance of our service catchment (Kensington and Chelsea)

The package:

- 28,500 - 30,000 PA (subject to experience/negotiation based on experience and skill set)

- Permanent full time

- Hours: 6:45AM - 4:00PM Monday - Friday. As the manager, you may be expected to take calls/handle tasks out of hours

- You are able to bring your dog to our facility at no cost, subject to suitability

- Paid bank holidays

- Opportunity to earn a substantial supplementary income at your discretion
