About Us
Pawfectly is a multi award-winning, stress free dog grooming spa where dogs of all temperaments receive gentle, expertly tailored care in a calm and considered environment. Amongst other awards, we are honoured to have been recognised four times as 'Best Dog Groomers in the South West of England'. We're known for our thoughtful, gentle approach that prioritises each dog's comfort and wellbeing.
We understand that no two dogs are the same. Some need soft reassurance and slow pacing. Others respond best to steady, confident guidance. Our work is built on trust, patience, and adaptability, creating grooming experiences that are peaceful, respectful, and free of unnecessary stress.
What We're Looking For & What You'll Do
You're an experienced dog groomer with a genuine love for dogs, a natural connection that helps build friendship, with an instinctive ability to understand their needs. You know that grooming is about more than a tidy coat; it's about how the dog feels during and after the experience.
Proven dog grooming skills across breeds and coat types (
this is not a trainee role
).
You don't rush or force, but you also don't tiptoe. You understand the balance and lead with kindness, clarity, and respect.
Use your understanding of canine behaviour and psychology to interpret each dog's body language, applying an approach rooted in trust, patience, and sensitivity to their individual needs.
Maintain high grooming standards while creating a calm, safe environment that supports the wellbeing of all dogs, including those who are nervous or reactive.
Work with a variety of dogs: from long-time regulars who love their spa visits, to those who are anxious, sensitive, or rebuilding trust after negative grooming experiences before meeting us.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with dog owners about their pet's needs and progress.
Open to learning our methods - not because you need training, but because Pawfectly has a unique approach.
Tools and Responsibilities
We provide all high quality grooming equipment and facilities, so you'll have everything you need to work comfortably and efficiently.
Most bathing, drying, and prep work will be handled by other team members, allowing you to focus mainly on clipping and scissoring.
For grooms focused on rehabilitation, you'll dedicate your full attention to one dog from start to finish, building trust and friendship, then gently guiding them through bathing, drying, and styling.
Got a favourite pair of scissors you just can't live without? Feel free to bring them along!
