We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for our dogs in our facility. You will play a vital part in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry guests while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Duties
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to staff.
Assist with customer service by greeting pet owners and providing information about services.
Handle heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning equipment as required.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
Qualifications
Previous experience in animal care or veterinary settings is preferred but not essential.
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for animal care tasks.
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Hours 18-24 per week
Monday/Thursday/Friday start time 8:00am Finish 5:00pm Will be required to work 6 hours every other weekend.
