Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services that enhance the wellbeing and appearance of pets. This role requires not only grooming skills but also a strong sense of customer service to ensure pet owners feel confident and satisfied with our services.

Duties

Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling of various breeds of dogs and cats. Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area, including tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, grooming styles, and any concerns observed during the grooming process. Provide basic animal care, including monitoring health and behaviour during appointments. Assist in heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets. Collaborate with veterinary staff if necessary, ensuring a seamless experience for both pets and their owners.

Experience

Previous experience in veterinary settings or animal care is required. Proven customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with pet owners. Familiarity with various grooming techniques and tools is essential. Experience in heavy lifting as required when managing larger animals or equipment. A genuine passion for animal welfare and an understanding of different breeds' grooming needs. One of these two roles offers an additional opportunity to include duties of Head Groomer and Site Manager. These additional responsibilities include, keeping track of, ordering and managing stock and general running of the shop. Both roles are full time 9am to 6pm with one hour lunch.

Pay: 24,420.00-35,000.00 per year
