Overview

A rare opportunity has become available for a part-time dog walker to join the team at Paws Parade - a reputable dog walking business of 7 years, specialising in pack walks in and around Crewe and Nantwich. The current role is Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 4-5hrs per day with future opportunities to take on more days/hours if desired, to start ASAP.

The ideal candidate will undergo a full training programme and obtain relevant insurance and DBS check before taking dogs out on their own.

Responsibilities

Complete shadowing/training period Round up dogs for group walks in own vehicle and drop them back home after walks Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times Manage multiple dogs at once in groups of 3-8 dogs Have consistent communication with team leader throughout the day Walk in all weathers and enjoy being outdoors There are a couple of hours driving throughout the day

Must Have's

A larger vehicle or small van that can hold a minimum of 6 dogs A love for dogs and a 'can do' attitude A brilliant work ethic and someone the business and the rest of the small team can rely upon Excellent time keeping and punctuality A smartphone for access to our staff app and to take photo's/videos for our social media platforms A valid driving licence for transporting dogs

Desired

(Included in training if not yet experienced)

Experience working with dogs and all breeds An understanding of dog behaviour in a pack environment
The job is on a freelance basis where you will be required to be registered as self-employed and able to manage your own taxes. Your vehicle will need to be insured for working on the road. Paws Parade will help set these up with you if needed.
