Job Summary

We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning about dog behaviour to join our team as a Dog Walker, with the possibility to expand to in home boarding, 121 training sessions and group classes with time depending on skill set and initiative.

Your pick ups will start at 9am and end at 4pm latest in South Edinburgh. You must have access to your own van, or we may be able to help you with a lease.

You need to be a stong team player, and be interested in pursuing training further with your personal dog to keep advancing your skills.

As owners of the company, we are always at hand to answer questions and help you grow.

Responsibilities

3-4 hikes with a group of 6 dogs of various sizes and temperaments, working on basic behaviours like leash walking and recall, as well as appropriate social skills. Monitor the behaviour and health of each dog during walks, discussing any concerns with us. Clear and empathetic communication with clients. Good troubleshooting skills and flexibility.

Experience

Previous experience with dogs or other animals (kennel assistance, working with horses, vet nurse etc) is preferred. We provide training for all walkers before joining the team. You must love the outdoors! Being comfortable handling dogs of various sizes, breeds and temperament. We have very close relationships with our dog owners. You must strive to maintain these and to be committed to providing exceptional care for the dogs.
