Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Location: Ceredigion with travel

Salary:

24,242.40 per annum (FTE), depending on experience

37 Hours Per Week

We are looking for a domestic abuse support worker to join our support team.

You will be providing holistic support to women and men with complex needs that are living with and/or escaping violence and abuse.

You will work as part of a team providing a safe and confidential helpline and support services working within our refuges, safe houses and in the community providing trauma informed holistic support.

You will have a good awareness of domestic abuse and the challenges people can face, be patient and prepared to listen and have effective facilitation skills.

WWDAS places the needs of service users at the heart of everything it does and this is reflected throughout the organisation and its relationships with others.

The ability to speak and write Welsh is desirable for this role, but not essential.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. Posts will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) and open to women only. (Exempt under the Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1).
