As a result of the continued development of Nottinghamshire Women's Aid Limited, we are looking to recruit the following posts:

Female Domestic Abuse Support Worker (Family Support and Safeguarding Team)

(Newark & Sherwood 18.5 hours)

25,628 per annum, pro rata for part time

To deliver support and domestic abuse awareness packages to children/young people and mothers who have been referred into social care and are on child protection plans.

To support social workers within the child protection team to support families where domestic abuse is a presenting or historical factor.

To work collaboratively with other agencies such as CGL and health to create all round packages of support for families, ensuring all needs are met in a whole family approach.

To provide individual and family support packages for children & young people, ensuring that they have opportunities to work through their experiences of living with and leaving domestic abuse and that they and their female carer have access to services in the community which will promote children's health and development, educational attendance and attainment, participation in social and leisure opportunities and diverting children from crime.

To help mothers to understand the impact of domestic abuse on their children but also on their own parenting and role as mothers

Closing date: 6th October 2025 at 12 noon. Interview Date 21st October 2025 at The Farr Centre, Worksop.

These posts are subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. This service is run by women for women and is therefore restricted to women applicants under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9 Part 1 and Section 7(2) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975.
