Job Description

Duties:

Driving a vehicle from customer to customer

Delivering heavy electrical goods to customers homes

Manual handling of large appliances (manual lifting and using a sack truck)

Report of accidents, product issues or damage

Installation of such items as washing machines, including integrated appliances, electrical cookers (built-in and freestanding), TV installs

Adhering to all Health and Safety Procedures

You must have a valid UK driving licence, no criminal convictions, physically fit for heavy lifting, good customer service skills, and a good knowledge of skills and procedures to install electrical appliances.

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery van to transport goods to customers
- Load and unload products from the van, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and signatures
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks

Experience:
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred

-Installation experience preferred, however training can be given if required. Experience of carpentry, kitchen fitting and plumbing would advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to drive and manoeuvre large vehicles.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and loading/unloading of products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 11.44-15.09 per hour
