More than a care facility, Loughside is a luxurious, state-of-the-art living environment designed to enrich life for its 116 residents, setting a new benchmark in compassionate, expert-led care.
Purpose-built for people living with dementia, complex care needs, and those under mental health registration, Loughside offers a vibrant, village-style community centred on dignity, independence, and wellbeing. Its thoughtful design encourages privacy, stimulation, and meaningful social connection for residents, families, and staff alike.
Loughside will be home to over 200 dedicated professionals delivering personalised care tailored to each individual. Commissioned in partnership with the Northern Health Trust and developed to meet the highest RQIA standards, it represents a bold step forward in transforming care in Northern Ireland.
The Role
The role of the Domestic Assistant is essential in our mission to provide excellent care. Supporting the Housekeeper with the environment of the Home, the Domestic Assistant will contribute to the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents. The Domestic Assistant will ensure that the Home is clean, tidy and welcoming at all times.
The Domestic Assistant role at Healthcare Ireland Group works closely with the care teams and residents, building trusting relationships to create a comfortable environment where our residents feel safe and cared for. From ensuring that rooms are clean to tidying communal areas, every task contributes to the value that we add to the lives of our residents.
About the role
Main Responsibilities
Ensure the expected cleanliness and hygiene standards are achieved throughout the home
Cover domestic duties as assigned
Identify and report any damage, faults or other issues to maintenance or management
Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule
Use and store cleaning products in accordance to COSHH regulations
Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager or Housekeeper.

Required Criteria

  • A good standard of both verbal and written English
  • Relevant experience for the role
  • The Right to Work in the UK
Desired Criteria
  • Previous care home experience
  • Basic knowledge of COSHH, Health and Safety and Fire Regulations
