Job Overview

We are looking for a part time cleaner to join our team in Basildon. This is a permanent position working one day a week, cleaning 2 to 4 hours per week with the option of extra hours as a nursery / childminding assistant. Must have a good level of English.

Work Location: SS16 6EZ.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Part time cleaner

Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for cleaning and organising the home.

Cleaning of kitchen, bathrooms, communal areas, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning & disinfecting of surfaces and windows.

Experience

Previous experience in cleaning in a client based role.

Optional extra hours

Part time nursery / childminding assistant

Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.

Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary requirements.

Maintain a clean and organised environment, ensuring toys and equipment are safe and well-maintained.

Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.

Assist children with daily routines such as dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.

Encourage positive behaviour through effective guidance and support.

Experience

Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.

A genuine love for working with children and an understanding of their developmental needs.

Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.

For this role you must undergo Ofsted vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

These checks typically include:

Identity Verification: Passport, photo ID, birth certificate, etc.

Employment History (past 3 years): Any gaps will require HMRC statements for the period in question.

Right to Work Status in the UK: Citizenship or valid share code.

Unspent Criminal Record: Disclosure of any unspent convictions.

Significant Periods Abroad: Any periods of 6+ months spent abroad in the past 3 years.
