Domestic Electrical Tester
Job Description
The role will involve undertaking quality control inspections of electrical works carried out by others within social housing properties. A thorough understanding and sound knowledge of domestic electrical installations will be essential. Work will be spread across a broad geographical area, primarily focused on the South West, and our operational support team will work closely with you to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved.
The postholder will be required to review reports and certification issued by Contractors to verify that they have been completed correctly and accurately reflect the true condition of the electrical installation. A visual inspection of the electrical installation, along with appropriate sample testing, will also be undertaken as part of this process.
Qualification and Experience Requirements:
An EAS compliant Level 3 electrical installation technical qualification Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671, current edition) JIB-recognised Level 3 qualification in Inspection and Testing Electro Technical Certification Scheme (ECS) approved Asbestos Awareness Adequate experience in the periodic inspection and testing of domestic electrical installations
Equipment Required:
Calibrated test equipment Safe isolation equipment comprising a proving unit, voltage indicator, suitable lock-off devices, and durable signage Calibrated torque screwdriver R2 continuity wander lead

Pay: 800.00-1,500.00 per week
