Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Domestic Energy Assessor (EPC) & Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of water systems to identify potential risks associated with Legionella bacteria. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as safeguarding public health. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction and experience with hand and power tools.

One House Booking is experiencing a fantastic growth within the industry, and are searching for 2 / 3 qualified and experienced DEA & LRA to join on a freelance, self employed basis to be able to service OHB estate agent & private customers.

Covering areas such as North Leeds, Selby, York, Pickering, Malton, Pocklington, Driffield, Market Weighton & Hull.

We pay 40 per LRA & 45 per EPC with lodgement fees & lodgement fees paid by us.

On a weekly basis we will send you live jobs to book in with the clients at times to suit both parties. We pay on the 10th of each month for the month prior.

As a small business, that is growing at a fast pace, we are looking for enthusiastic, polite and enthusiastic property assessors to help our growth. As we grow and the work increases we expect to be able increase fees to reward the hard work of our OHB Team.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of water systems, including cooling towers, hot and cold water systems, and other potential sources of Legionella. Identify and evaluate the conditions that may promote the growth of Legionella bacteria. Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and necessary remedial actions. Collaborate with clients to develop effective management plans for controlling Legionella risks. Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for water system maintenance and safety. Stay updated on relevant legislation, guidelines, and industry standards related to Legionella risk management & domestic energy assessing. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively during assessments and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a construction or facilities management role is essential. Familiarity with water systems, plumbing, and HVAC systems is highly desirable. Strong understanding of Legionella regulations and risk assessment methodologies. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to the role. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly. Elmhurst accredited member Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in identifying potential risks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
