Brown Brothers in Kirkconnel are currently looking for a Domestic Hygiene Operative. The hours of work are 10.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday. The rate of pay is 12.60 per hour (over 18).

Previous experience is not required as successful candidates will receive full training.

Job Purpose

To ensure the fabric of the building is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

Key Accountabilities:

To ensure the high risk / low risk / despatch changing areas, front reception, canteens, toilets, offices and corridors are kept hygienically clean on an ongoing basis. Cleaning of the engineering and drivers' areas. To carry out deep cleans in all areas as required. Maintaining stocks of laundry and PPE for staff use. Ensure cleaning equipment is kept clean and stored in the correct manner. Hoover office corridors and clean glass doors. Empty bins in the offices and canteen areas. Ensure the canteen is kept clean and tidy, brush and wash floors, and wipe down tables etc. Preparation of some lunches for managers and visitors as required. Cover staff holidays as required. Strictly follow clean as you go procedures. Staff shop cleaning. Perform any other cleaning duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous cleaning experience (not essential as full training will be given)
