We are looking from someone to join our dynamic team of staff to support women who have experienced Domestic & Sexual Abuse.
You will work within a trauma informed team to provide a welcoming, safe and supportive environment for women and their children living in refuge. You'll be compassionate and emotionally intelligent with a passion for supporting women who have experienced domestic & sexual abuse.

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE:
Domestic & Sexual Abuse Evening Support Worker
SCALE:
11,222 per annum plus 4% pension above threshold of 6,240 (+ on-call payment)
HOURS:
7 nights / month
TERM:
Permanent Contract
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Refuge Senior Worker
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Welcome and integrate women and their children into the refuge.
Be aware of and effectively respond to the emotional and practical needs of families when they arrive at refuge and throughout their stay.
Provide support and information to help women access information needed to make informed choices.
Promote an environment that encourages women and children to support each other and learn through shared experiences.
