Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Domestic Assistant/Laundry Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for our residents and any visitors to the home. The successful applicant will require a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

The successful candidate will also be required to carry out laundry duties and other domestic duties to meet the needs of the business.

The successful applicant will be contracted to 20 hours per week which will include weekend work.

Working hours are from 9.30am - 1.45pm

Duties

Perform general housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors. Ensure all rooms and all other areas are kept tidy and well-maintained. Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and clothing when required to meet the needs of the business. Organise household supplies and ensure that cleaning materials are stocked. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Provide support with meal preparation and serving when required. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all tasks performed. Complete any records competently.

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to take initiative. Good communication skills and a friendly disposition. Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the household.
