Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance to individuals in care homes and home care settings. You will be responsible for supporting clients with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, while promoting independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in following their care plans and achieving their individual goals. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.
