Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care home or home care setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families through effective communication. Follow individual care plans to ensure that each client's specific needs are met. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition using IT systems. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to continuously improve care practices. Support clients in engaging with their community and encourage participation in social activities.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to drive is essential for transporting clients; a valid driving licence is required. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining care records is advantageous. A genuine passion for providing compassionate care and improving the lives of others. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
