The Domiciliary Care Supervisor leads, mentors, and oversees a team of care assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. The role combines field supervision, quality monitoring, team development, customer assessments, and administrative tasks to maintain standards and support service users' independence.?
Main Responsibilities
Conduct regular home visits and spot checks to monitor care provision, ensure compliance with care plans, and maintain customer satisfaction.?
Carry out initial client assessments, create and update person-centred care plans, and conduct service reviews.?
Mentor, supervise, and provide ongoing training to care assistants, including supporting their induction and development.?
Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, customer feedback, and staff concerns, escalating where appropriate.?
Maintain accurate records of visits, assessments, supervisions, and any incidents or changes to client needs.?
Participate in on-call duties to ensure service continuity during evenings and weekends.?
Support and model best practices, address performance issues, and encourage compliant and compassionate care delivery.?
Build positive relationships with customers, families, staff, and external professionals to facilitate coordinated care.?
Key Requirements
Experience in domiciliary or community care, including previous supervisory responsibilities.?
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).?
Good knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and care compliance.
Excellent communication, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between clients' homes.?
Compassionate, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
