Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, particularly seniors, and will possess the skills necessary to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our clients. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for those requiring assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance. Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required. Monitor and document changes in clients' health status and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel. Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being. Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals in assisted living or nursing home settings.

Requirements

Driving licence and own vehicle required Previous experience in senior care or patient care is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others. Certification in caregiving or nursing is preferred but not mandatory. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
