We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, whether they are residing in their own homes, nursing homes, or receiving hospice care. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalised care while ensuring the safety and comfort of those you assist.
Duties
Provide compassionate personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
Assist with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary to help clients move safely.
Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with specific needs.
Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of hospice care practices is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility.
Strong skills in patient care and behaviour management.
Experience working in nursing homes or home care settings is beneficial.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
