Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, including those with specific needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, and hospice care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities by delivering personalised care and support.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Help with mobility and physical assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary. Monitor and document client progress and any changes in behaviour or health status. Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to ensure client safety and comfort. Support clients with Alzheimer's or dementia through tailored activities that promote engagement. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of senior care practices, including first aid and caregiving techniques. Ability to administer medication accurately and responsibly. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients. Experience in childcare may be beneficial for those working with younger clients or families.
