Job Summary

As a Domiciliary Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your responsibilities will encompass supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their independence. Your dedication to patient care will significantly enhance the quality of life for those you serve.

Duties

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours. Facilitate activities that promote physical and mental well-being, including exercise and social interaction. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with heavy lifting as required, ensuring safe handling of clients during transfers or mobility assistance. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff members. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised environment.

Experience

Ideal candidates will be a driver or live within AL4 possess experience in caregiving roles within assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. Familiarity with specialised care such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, or senior care is highly desirable. Skills in first aid are advantageous, along with the ability to manage challenging situations effectively. A background in childcare may also be beneficial for those working with younger clients or families requiring support. Candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for helping others lead fulfilling lives.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-14.25 per hour
