We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
Duties
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs
Foster a supportive environment by engaging residents in social activities and promoting their independence
Ensure cleanliness and safety within the care environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Drive to clients' homes as required for home care services
Experience
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential
A valid driving licence is essential for those providing home care services
Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and team members
Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and using care management software
Strong interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with residents and their families .
