Job Description

We are looking for motivated care assistants to work within the healthcare sector, providing support for people in their own homes. There are full and part time vacancies. Candidates must be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and be available to attend all training that is required. A full driving licence is preferred, although not essential.
Most importantly a successful candidate must to make a difference to a service user's life and well-being, passionate and professional about the role presented.
We serve a 2 mile radius of Penzance, and aim to place carers geographically. Good rates of pay plus 25p per mile allowance, plus full holiday pay.
We are looking for experienced and non experienced carers. Full training is given and the opportunity to develop through NVQ's and external courses are offered. The service users have varying needs- mental health including, Alzheimer's, Dementia, Physical Disabilities and End of Life Care.
Your duties within the work placement will involve:
Safe guarding the service users. Taking the service user out into the community. Personal Care. One to one support. Recording and reporting day to day activities. Maintaining great communication between the service user and their families. Promoting independence. Assisting the service user with their medication

Pay: 12.21-24.42 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
