We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Door Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of door systems across commercial properties. Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain different types of doors including automatic, roller shutters.
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoot technical problems efficiently and implement effective solutions.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on door systems.
Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used, and inspections carried out.
Assist in training junior team members when required.
Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition to ensure safety and efficiency during operations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in door installation, maintenance, or related engineering roles is highly desirable.
Strong technical skills with a good understanding of mechanical systems and electrical components associated with modern door mechanisms.
Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Engineering or Building Services are advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Valid UK driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.
