Industrial Door Engineer - Telford & Shrewsbury

32,000 - 38,000 (DOE)

Hours:

40 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Door Engineer to join our specialist team supporting MOD sites across the region. This role offers long-term stability, a varied workload, and the chance to work within a professional and well-established engineering environment.

Job Overview

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing, and installing a wide range of industrial door systems. Day-to-day tasks include:

Reactive callouts, fault-finding, and repairs Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections Carrying out remedial work and upgrades Supporting new installations and project-based works Liaising with MOD site teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery
Systems You Will Work On

Roller shutters Folding & sliding doors Industrial & hangar doors Sectional overhead doors Various electrically and manually operated industrial door systems
Requirements & Qualifications

We are seeking a capable, confident engineer with strong technical skills and proven experience. The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience as an Industrial Door Engineer (minimum 3 years preferred) Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities Experience with servicing, repairs, PPM tasks, and installations Understanding of Health & Safety procedures and compliance requirements Ability to read technical drawings and specifications Full UK Driving Licence Relevant industry qualifications (such as NVQ, DHF, or equivalent) preferred
