We are seeking a skilled Fire Door Fabricator to join our growing manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the precise fabrication, assembly, and finishing of certified fire-rated doors in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacture and assemble fire doors and frames to specification.
Operate woodworking and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and job sheets.
Fit hardware, glazing panels, and intumescent materials accurately.
Carry out quality checks to ensure compliance with fire certification standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
Collaborate with production supervisors and quality control teams to meet production targets.
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
Previous experience in
door fabrication
,
joinery
, or
fire door manufacturing
.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Ability to assemble door sets and frames to precise tolerances.
Knowledge of
fire door regulations
and
BS EN / BM TRADA and IFCC standards
(advantageous).
Competent in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
A proactive attitude with good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
Experience in all types of door manufacturing.
Experience working with
timber, veneers, laminates, and composite door cores
.
Knowledge of
intumescent materials
,
ironmongery fitting
, and
acoustic/seal installation
.
Experience using
edge banders
, and
cross-cut saws
Familiarity with
quality control processes
and
documenting compliance checks.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, Day Shift 39 hrs - weekend work maybe required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour
