Job Description

CosyJoes is a fast-paced busy licenced venue in the heart of Newcastle city centre

and we are looking for an SIA registered internal door supervisor to work 16-25 hours which include a Friday and Saturday night.

Duties of the door staff member would include the following;

Communicate effectively with the other door team members and the management of the venue. Intervene physically when required to protect the people in the premises. Work to avoid conflicts from happening and deal with them if they do. Escort people out when required. Manage queues and crowds (including stage management). Manage vulnerable people and drunk customers in a calm and caring manner. Cooperate with first aiders and the police when necessary. Although the role is primarily internal. Cover shifts through the week may require you to screen people in and out of the establishment. To work on a Friday/ Saturday and on bank holiday Sundays. Other shifts through the week will also be available. Note- for those with less than 1 years' experience the pay rate will be 14 per hour.
The following attributes would be required;

- Be able to commute to and from the venue. The closing time for a weekend is 3am so you would finish at 3.30am.

- Have an active SIA level 2 door supervisor licence.

- Be reliable and have good timekeeping.

- Be well presentable.

- Have very good communication skills.

- Previous experience within the industry.
