: Retail Security Officer (Retail - Static - Commercial Sites)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Within a 5-15-mile radius (travel may be required)

Work Location: On-site (in person)

Weekdays Weekends Days and Nights (rotational or as scheduled)

We are currently seeking professional and reliable Retail Security Officers to join our growing team, providing security services across a range of static commercial retail sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of premises, staff, and customers, while maintaining a strong presence and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

o Maintain a visible, professional security presence at designated retail/commercial sites

o Control access to premises and monitor customer/staff entry and exit

o Prevent and deter theft, vandalism, or anti-social behaviour through effective patrols and surveillance

o Respond swiftly and appropriately to incidents, alarms, or emergencies

o Provide a safe and secure environment for staff and the public

o Carry out regular internal and external patrols

o Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports

o Liaise with site management, emergency services, and control room when necessary

o Enforce site rules and policies in a fair and consistent manner

o Ensure all duties are carried out in line with BS 7858 standards

Requirements:

o Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

o Strong observational and conflict resolution abilities

o Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

o Smart, presentable appearance and professional attitude

o Willingness to travel within a 5-15-mile radius as required

o Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends

Desirable:

o Previous experience in retail or static security roles

o First Aid certificate (preferred but not essential)

o Knowledge of CCTV systems and radio communication
