Hanover Dairies have been delivering doorstep milk rounds since 1976. We have continued to grow and pride ourselves on supplying our customers with fresh products with an excellent level of customer service.

We are looking for candidates to join our holiday cover team. Applicants should be confident in working alone but also be prepared to assist another team member when necessary.

Candidates should have excellent communication skills.

This position is a physically demanding role.

The role involves learning a number of delivery routes to cover holidays with the same level of success as the roundsperson.

This position is for a 5 day working week contract and is a night shift role with a minimum of 4 shifts worked per week.

Our working week commences on a Sunday night through to a Friday morning. Shifts start at 8.30pm and run through until 6.30am. The delivery route must be complete before returning to the depot.

Daily duties include,

A walk around check of the vehicle which has been allocated to you for the shift.

Check your allocated load for correct quantities, check product condition and report any shortages or defects to your line manager.

Safely loading Delivery vehicle with sufficient products to complete the route.

Ensuring the electronic delivery device is fully charged and is on the correct route and day.

Start deliveries at first customer and complete the route in the pre set order.

Upon completion, return to depot to unload any unused items and return van to allocated area.

Ensure management are aware that you have completed the route and report any issues.

Weekly duties include,

Ensuring cleanliness of the vehicles is maintained using cleaning materials provided.

Checking fluid levels of allocated vehicles.

Complete an end of week stock sheet on a Friday morning.

Applicants must have a valid Full UK Driving License and are eligible to work in the UK.

Experience is not essential as full training will be given.
