Sales Consultant
to join our friendly and professional team.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced glazing or home-improvement professional who enjoys
consultative selling
and building long-term customer relationships.
You'll be responsible for managing your own enquiries -- from the first conversation and site visit through to
creating accurate estimates
and
securing the order
. Once a job is confirmed, it will be passed to our
surveying and installation management teams
to handle the project delivery.
You'll also represent Merstham Glass at our
weekly Thursday business networking meeting
, helping to grow our brand locally and build valuable new relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage incoming and self-generated sales enquiries for:
Windows, doors, and conservatories (PVCu, aluminium, timber)
Glass balustrades (internal and external)
Shower screens and enclosures
Mirrors and splashbacks (coloured and printed)
Replacement sealed units and other bespoke glazing solutions
Meet customers in the showroom, on-site, or in their homes to understand requirements and discuss suitable products.
Prepare detailed and accurate
estimates/quotations
based on customer needs.
Follow up on all quotations to
convert enquiries into confirmed orders
.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a professional and friendly service.
Attend
weekly Thursday morning business networking meetings
to represent Merstham Glass and generate leads.
Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth handovers to surveyors and installation managers once orders are confirmed.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in
sales within the glazing, window, door, or conservatory industry
(essential).
Strong product knowledge across PVCu, aluminium, and timber systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Confident producing and presenting estimates accurately.
Self-motivated, well-organised, and target-driven while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
Competent in basic IT (email, Microsoft Office, CRM systems).
Full UK driving licence.
