Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage and Sump/Sewage Pump Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in drainage systems as well as pump installation and repairs, ensuring the effective installation, maintenance, and repair of drainage and sump pumps. This role requires a combination of technical skills and practical abilities, making it essential for the candidate to be proficient with various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Design, install, and maintain drainage systems in compliance with industry standards. Installation of sump pumps. Conduct site assessments to evaluate drainage needs and propose suitable solutions. Utilise welding techniques for the assembly of drainage components as necessary. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. Perform plumbing tasks related to drainage systems, ensuring proper functionality. Execute carpentry work when required for installation or repair purposes. Engage in heavy lifting as part of the installation process, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during projects. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in drainage engineering or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to projects. Experience in plumbing and carpentry is advantageous. Experience in sump and sewage pumps is essential Valid commercial driving licence is a plus for transporting materials to job sites. Ability to perform assembly tasks as required for drainage installations. Must be physically fit to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking on-site.
