As part of our strategic growth plans, we are looking for an
experienced
Drainage Operative
to play a key role in our on-site operations.
This challenging role involves travelling through the UK to work on no dig drainage solutions. From CCTV surveys, high-pressure water jetting and patch lining.
Our Drainage Operatives need be adaptable and confident in problem solving, decision making and communicating with site supervisors and clients, all of which are crucial elements to this role. The applicant will be required to enter confined spaces on occasions(training will be provided).
This role involves ensuring high productivity and quality, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. This role involves travel and some long days but you'll be a part of a close team that cares and rewarded with over-time and shift rates. Working closely with the Managing Director and Operations Manager, you'll play a vital role in shaping our operations as we continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform drainage clearance using
high-pressure water jetting
and other methods.
Conduct
CCTV surveys
and assess pipe conditions.
Patch repairing
Maintain and ensure plant and equipment are in excellent condition.
Support on-site teams, including Trainee Drainage Operatives.
Ensure health and safety compliance, including the preparation of RAMS and conducting toolbox talks.

Skills & Experience:
Essential:
Experience in drainage operations, including high-pressure water jetting, patch lining and CCTV surveying.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently.
Familiarity with desktop systems and mobile apps.
Knowledge of drainage, lining, and civil engineering techniques.
Understanding of health, safety, and environmental law, including risk assessment.
Essential Licences & Certifications:
Full UK driving licence (HGV preferred).
While the following certifications are desirable, we are willing to provide
training for the right candidate
with sufficient industry experience:
WJA - Drain and Sewer practical certification.
Personal Track Safety (PTS).
Confined Spaces certification.
CSCS card.
Pay & Benefits:

Work Locations:
Either working at our Monmouth depot or travelling from the depot to site, you will travel across the UK for scheduled work. This includes sites in industrial, utility, commercial, and rail sectors.
