Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various construction and maintenance tasks. This role involves working with drainage systems, ensuring their proper installation, maintenance, and repair. The successful applicant will be comfortable with heavy lifting and using a variety of tools in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Responsibilities

Design, install, and maintain drainage systems to ensure effective water management. Conduct inspections of existing drainage systems to identify issues and recommend solutions. Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively. Perform plumbing tasks related to drainage systems as required. Assemble components of drainage systems using carpentry skills when necessary. Collaborate with other engineers and construction teams to complete projects on time. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout all tasks.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in drainage engineering or a related field. Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Strong plumbing skills are highly desirable. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Experience with carpentry is an advantage for assembly tasks. A valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transporting materials to job sites. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for this position.
