Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of drainage systems and be capable of managing various aspects of drainage projects. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, practical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Drainage Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient design, installation, and maintenance of drainage systems.

Duties

Design and implement effective drainage solutions for various projects. Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing drainage conditions. Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure project specifications are met. Utilise heavy lifting techniques for the installation of drainage components. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during installation processes. Perform mechanical tasks such as welding, plumbing, and carpentry as required. Assemble drainage systems according to engineering specifications. Maintain accurate records of project progress and report any issues to management. Apply basic maths skills for calculations related to drainage design and installation.

Qualifications

Proven experience in drainage engineering or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools and equipment effectively. Experience with heavy lifting, commercial driving, welding, plumbing, and carpentry is highly desirable. Proficient in using power tools and hand tools safely. Basic maths skills are essential for performing calculations related to projects. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. A valid driving licence may be required for site visits.
