Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the delivery of goods to various locations. Conduct pre-journey checks on the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy and safe. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transit. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork. Follow designated routes while being adaptable to changes as required. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is essential. Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A good understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards.
