We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team driving Airside in Bristol Airport on a 27 million new construction project. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and construction experience, with the ability to navigate various routes efficiently across the airport. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and professionalism while representing our company within Bristol Airport.
Responsibilities
Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring external delivery of goods to designated locations are escorted safely in and out of the airport airside and landside areas.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with airport regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs and receipts.
Communicate effectively with yard staff, the principal contractor and suppliers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road and airport boundary.
Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients.
Support site security guards on an ad hoc basis for supporting guarding duties.
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid clean driver's licence for driving a small EV Van.
Previous experience in the construction industry.
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and customers.
