Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver's Mate to join our team. In this role, you will assist the driver in delivering goods to various locations, ensuring that all deliveries are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be capable of heavy lifting, as well as having experience in warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods from the vehicle. Ensure that all items are securely packed and organised for transport. Communicate effectively with the driver to coordinate delivery schedules and routes. Perform checks on the vehicle before departure to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain a clean and tidy work environment in the warehouse. Support the driver during deliveries by providing assistance with navigation and customer interactions. Handle any paperwork related to deliveries accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

Experience in a warehouse environment is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is advantageous. Strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively. A valid driving licence is beneficial but not essential for this role. A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with health regulations is necessary.
