The role

As a Driver/ Handler you\'ll have a role that\'s out of the ordinary. This role supports by delivering administrative management, maintaining vocational driving licences and within the team, deliver driving tasks.

Day to day,

• Undertake all driving duties that are required by the contract.
• Undertake Aircraft Refuelling Duties.
• Will also assist in the ground movement of aircraft and be a key part in our flight-line operations.
• General duties as required, including and other responsibilities as allocated by Management
• Carry out any other duties as required to support the contract.

Essential experience of the Driver/ Handler

• PSV, LGV & ADR qualified.
• Clean Driving Licence.
• Working knowledge of RAF/DVSA/DGSA and Babcock Transport administration.
• Working knowledge of Transport & Driver legal requirements.
• Experience of working within a military environment.
• Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required.
• Must meet eye colour vision of CP2/CP3 for airfield airside operations.

This role is based on site at Aldergrove Flying Station however, there are LAFT2 sites across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and this role can be required to work from anywhere. You should also expect to support up to eight weeks of deployed operations per year (within the UK).

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
